UBG Controls and Combat: Dodge, Feint and Perfect Dodge

The Verb Set

UBG’s depth comes from few verbs interacting: punches (M1/M2), block, dodge, feint, counter, ultimate. Every style reskins these — which is why fundamentals transfer across all 31 styles while spin luck doesn’t.

Perfect Dodge: The One Skill

A dodge timed to the exact incoming punch is a perfect dodge — and it’s the game’s real skill gate:

  • It answers punches regardless of style matchup — fundamentals beat rarity.
  • It charges meters (Chronos concentration, Hawk’s instinct stack — see their style pages).
  • It’s a daily quest task, so practicing literally pays spins.

Training route: casual lobbies, watch the opponent’s shoulders not their gloves, and treat every round as dodge-timing practice with punching as a side effect.

Feints

Feints sell a punch you don’t throw — the counter to counter-players. Against read-heavy styles (Surgeon especially), feint-first pressure poisons their data. “How to feint” searches spike after every Surgeon buff for exactly this reason.

Controls Notes

  • PC: mouse buttons for punches, keyboard for movement/dodge/block — rebindable in settings; check keybinds before ranked.
  • Console/controller: supported via Roblox’s standard mapping.
  • The settings menu matters: knockdown-animation control, keybinds and camera options all live there (knockdowns).

Fundamentals first, then the tier list — a perfect-dodging Basic beats a panicking Surgeon.
